Hope Addicts frontman, Andrew McCubbin, is a singer whose intimate breath fills our sails with songs of love and reverence. His music is a journey upon a fragile ocean, mixing the intimate and the epic – from sparse acoustic bass and piano, to the ethereal singing of Melinda Kay and McCubbin’s searing guitar, guiding us through a night of emotional weather – a dusk to dawn journey.
On Sunday June 11 he launches Stay, the second single to be lifted from his soon to be released 5th studio album, Where Once There was a Fire. He will be joined on stage by Melinda Kay on vocals and piano, Marc Regueiro-McKelvie (Teeth and Tongue / Popolice) on guitar, Tim O’Shannasy (Midnight Juggarnauts / Penny Ikinger) on drums and Andy Papadopoulos (Ron Peno) on bass.
Catch them before they head to the UK and Europe in July.
Guests on the night are Julitha Ryan who has recently returned from Europe and more to be announced.
Doors open 6pm. Entry is $10 on the door.
