After four years together, Melbourne’s Ghost Towns of the Midwest launch their second EP, Home.
Enlisting the talents of Myles Mumford, notable chap about town, the band & Myles decided to record the latest works at singer/songwriter Cam Ewart’s mountain home in the outer East of Melbourne.
After converting the lounge into a makeshift studio, the band made an album that deviates further afield of their last alt country release. Drawing on their love of Townes Van Zandt, Father John Misty & The Middle East,
this new EP is the first featuring the band as a five-piece, with the addition of Ewart’s brother Ben on double bass & mandolin.
Join them at The Yarra as they launch the CD & Vinyl versions of the EP. This will also serve as a farewell to two members of the band as they move overseas.
