Two years since his last album, singer/songwriter Jules Sheldon has well and truly reinvented himself with his forthcoming third album ‘Bloodshed & Serenity’.
A huge stylistic departure from the folk pop of his first two albums, Sheldon embraces synths and drum machines to make a lush and atmospheric post-punk soundscape to back his lyrical vision.
Recorded and co-produced by Ed Lloyd (Jeffers Limit), and mixed and mastered by Liam Halliwell (Ocean Party, Jade Imagine), ‘Bloodshed & Serenity’ is as much an album for the dance floor, as it is for the contemplative moments.
See him launch the new album on Friday February 16th at The Yarra Hotel, Abbotsford with support from Emma Russack, Lou Davies, BABEY & The Ocean Party.
Doors are 8pm, entry is $10, and the Bloodshed & Serenity tape & download code will be in all good independent record stores February 14th through Miller St.
