mightiest of guns + joshua seymour band + Jumpin jack william & neil wilkinson

Mightiest of Guns are a dark country quartet from Melbourne. Featuring members of Cash Savage And The Last Drinks, and The Baudelaires; their gritty, raucous songs are inspired by desperation, drunkenness and cruelty.

Their debut album Drink Over Your Grave (2015) was produced by Brooke Penrose from alt-country darlings Saint Jude. The album was released September 2015 and is full of fire, brimstone and everything they could muster. Taking a noisy, more vicious approach to the brutality found in the myths of Bushrangers, the Wild West and contemporary booze-houndary.

The first single off the album The Regrets Of Darkie Gardiner was released to more sold-out crowds and rave reviews. The band released second single Hot North Wind in June, followed shortly afterwards by single and film clip for Sawtooth Knife allowing them to tour nationally.

“[Mightiest of Guns]’s latest single brings a morbid, murder-ballad-style strain of storytelling to the life of bushranger Frank Gardiner” – Mess+Noise 2014

“Melbourne returns to its outlaw country roots, when Graveyard Train, Cash Savage and The Toots reigned supreme. Mightiest of Guns may be heralding in the next wave of dusty New Balance, bearded urban cowboys.” – Bill Deeble, The Music 2014

Mightiest of Guns will be joined by The Joshua Seymour Band and Jumpin’ Jack William & Neil Wilkinson.
