The Bible Bashers peddlied their filthy brand of blues-infused rock’n’roll from 2008 to 2012, but split up when the singer joined a honest-to-god sex cult and the guitarist got signed as as solo act.
Fast forward to 2017 and you have a full blown rock n roll REVIVAL on your hands.
The band just reunited to support The Damned and in a matter of weeks have prepped a new album to be recorded in Melbourne with local sound guru MAX DUCKER.
In Perth, they’re famous for their audacious, no-prisoners live performances, with comparions made to THE CRAMPS, THE STRANGLERS, THE MC5, THE STOOGES & BEASTS OF BOURBON.
Never ones to fall back on tired formula, they’ve spiced up their gigs by recruiting impromptu choirs and female backup singers (The Bashettes) to join them on stage. They have even gone so far as to hand out their own currency (Bash Cash) and print their own ‘Prayer Book’, featuring Bashers lyrics, artwork, and comics. In June 2010, they released their Self Titled EP and in 2011 release the CRAY BAIT/SWAN DIVE A.A side
This is their second tour of Victoria, but have rubbed shoulders with east coasters such as Six Ft Hick (QLD), The Stabs (VIC), Sailors and Swine (VIC), The Dead South (VIC) and at one point even had a chat with old mate JOHN SAFRAN on the wireless.
