The life and legacy of acclaimed Australian singer songwriter, JESSE YOUNAN, will be celebrated at The Yarra Hotel, Abbotsford, December 4th, at 7pm, in an evening of Song.

Presenting an eclectic mix of remarkable Artists, each playing tribute through the reinterpretation of Jesse’s potent repertoire, this event promises to be an unforgettable experience.

In February 2008, days after completing his 4th album, JESSE YOUNAN was diagnosed with Leukaemia. While fighting for his life, ‘Good Day for a Migraine’ was released to outstanding critical acclaim. Sadly, only months later, Jesse lost his battle.

Every year since, fans have gathered to honour Jesse’s memory with the performance of his music, donating proceeds to the Leukaemia Foundation.

Those concerts inspired tribute album; ‘Take Something Beautiful’, featuring Jen Cloher, Jordie Lane, and Lucie Thorne, highlighting Jesse’s masterful skills as poignant storyteller, while drawing a wider audience to his haunting melodies.JESSE YOUNAN left behind a rich catalogue of compelling music, available on Vitamin Records and iTunes, with further recordings yet to be released.

Several tracks have featured on Australian Television Dramas including ‘House Husbands’ (channel 9), ‘Packed to the Rafters’ (7) and ‘East of Everything’ (ABC). A Documentary, second tribute album, and continuing concerts, including this unique event, will ensure Jesse’s musical legacy lives on.
